Abstract THE ELECTRIC ROUTER OF THIS INVENTION INCLUDES AN AXIAL SLIP COUPLING HAVING A ROTARY KNOB MOUNTED FOR AXIAL MOVEMENT AT THE TOP OF THE ROUTER FOR SELECTIVELY UNLOCKING AND LOCKING A CHUCK UPON TURNING THE KNOB IN A DEPRESSED OPERATIVE POSITION. THE ROUTER FURTHER INCLUDES TWIN SWITCH HANDLES ACTUABLE IN A TWO HAND OPERATION FOR OPERATING NORMALLY OPEN MOTOR CONTROL SWITCHES CONNECTED IN SERIES.
