Abstract COMPOSITES WHICH UTILIZE A MATRIX LAYER OF A RUBBERMODIFIED INTERPOLYMER SYSTEM OF MONOVINYL AROMATIC COMPOUND IN WHICH IS EMBEDDED AN INTERLAYER HAVING A HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE AND COMPOSED OF METAL OR RIGID ORGANIC POLYMERIC MATERIAL. THE COMPOSITES DISPLAY IM- PROVED HEAT RESISTANCE, STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY, AND RIGIDITY COMPARED TO THE MATRIX LAYER ALONE, AND ARE GENERALLY LIGHTER IN WEIGHT THAN ALL METALLIC PANELS OF SIMILAR DIMENSIONS.
