Abstract HIGH CONVERSION OF C6-C7 CYCLOALKANES TO AROMATICS IS OBTAINED BY CONTACTING THE CYCLOALKANES IN THE PRESENCE OF HYDROGEN WITH A CATALYST COMPRISING 0.01 TO 3 WEIGHT PERCENT PLATINUM AND 0.01 TO 5 WEIGHT PERCENT RHENIUM IN ASSOCIATION WITH A POROUS INORGANIC OXIDE CARRIER AND MAINTAINING THE CONVERSION CONDITIONS SUFFICIENTLY SEVERE TO CONVERT AT LEAST 85 PERCENT, AND PREFERABLY 90 PERCENT, OF THE CYCLOALKANES TO AROMATICS AND ALKANES.
