Abstract MORPHOLINE OR ITS ALKYL DERIVATIVES ARE USED AS CATALYSTS FOR THE ISOMERIZATION OF A-B UNSATURATED ESTERS OF CISCONFIGURATION INTO TRANS-CONFIGERATION. THE ISOMERIZATION MAY PROCEED AT LOW TEMPERATURES WITH GOOD YIELDS AND IS USEFUL FOR PRODUCTION OF FIBER REINFORCED PLASTIC LAMINATION RESINS FROM MALEIC ANHYDRIDE VIA MALERATE POLYESTERS, WHICH ARE THEN ISOMERIZED TO FUMARATE POLYESTERS.
