Abstract A SINGLE STAGE NON-EXTERNALLY REFLUXED STILL ESPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR THE DISTILLATION PURIFICATION OF HEAT TRANSFER FLUIDS SUCH AS DIPHENYL, DIPHENYL ETHER AND MIXTURES THEREOF WHICH ARE CONTAMINATED WITH HIGH BOILING THERMAL DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS. PRINCIPAL FEATURES INCLUDE: AN INTERNAL HELICAL HEATING COIL; AN INTERNAL WELLPIPE FOR WITHDRAWAL OF LIQUID BOTTOMS AS WELL AS CONTINUOUS SCAVENGING OF PARTICULATE SOLIDS; AND ANTI-SIPHON PROTECTION. THE APPARATUS EMBODIES A COMPACT DESIGN AND AFFORDS POSITIVE INVENTORY CONTROL WITHOUT NEED FOR LIQUID LEVEL INSTRUMENTATION.
