Abstract THE CHANGING OF GEARS IN EITHER MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES IN WHICH THE WHEELS OR WHEEL GROUPS THEREOF AND AT LEAST TWO ENGINE TRANSMISSION UNITS ARE SEPARATELY CONNECTED, WITH THE ENGINES BEING JOINT CONTROLLABLE BY THE VEHICLE DRIVER AS REGARDS THE FUEL SUPPLY, AND THE ARRANGEMENT BEING SUCH THAT THE FLOW OF FORCE BETWEEN AT LEAST ONE OF THE ENGINES AND ONE OR MORE ASSOCIATED WHEELS IS MAINTAINED WITHOUT THE EMPLOYMENT OF EXPENSIVE AND SPACE REQUIRING COMPONENTS.
