Abstract A NOVEL JOINTURE PROVIDES A PANEL SEAL THAT IS PARTICULARLY ADAPTED FOR ENVIRONMENTALLY CONTROLLED ENCLOSURES AND THAT IS EASILY MOUNTED AND DEMOUNTED. THE NOVEL SEAL IS DESCRIBED AS A CONTINUOUS U-SHAPED BATTEN WITH COMPRESSIBLE SEALANT STRIPS DISPOSED ON EACH SIDE BETWEEN THE PANEL EDGES. A SPLINE FORCES THE SIDES OF THE BATTEN TO FLEX AND COMPRESSES THE SEALANT AGAINST THE PANEL EDGE TO FORM A VAPOR-TIGHT BARRIER.
