Abstract MEASURED QUANTITIES OF METAL POWDER ARE DEPOSITED IN A FEMALE MOLD AND A MALE DIE IS MOVED INTO THE MOLD TO FORM THE METAL POWDER INTO A DESIRED ARTICLE CONFIGURATION. THE FEMALE MOLD AND THE MALE DIE ARE RELATIVELY ROTATED AND THE FEMALE MOLD IS VIBRATED DURING THE FORMING OPERATION IN ORDER TO EVENLY DISTRIBUTE THE METAL POWDER TO FORM AN ARTICLE HAVING UNIFORM THIN WALLS.
