Abstract A PROCESS FOR FORMING IONICALLY-BOUND POLELECTROLYTE COMPLEX RESINS FROM POLYANIONS AND POLYCATIONS WITHOUT THE PRIOR PURIFICATION OF THESE POLYIONS, SAID PROCESS COMPRISING THE STEPS OF FORMING AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS OF EACH OF THE TWO POLYIONS AND THEN SIMULTANEOUSLY MIXING SAID SOLUTIONS SO THAT THE UNREACTED CONCENTRATION OF EACH OF THE POLYIONS IS MAINTAINED BELOW 0.2% BY WEIGHT OF THE TOTAL WATER.
