Abstract AN ELECTRONIC TIME DELAY DEVICE IS COMBINED WITH A TIME DELAY SETTER IN A MANNER SUCH THAT THE TIME DELAY PERIOD BEGINS UPON THE PHYSICAL SEPARATION OF THE TIME DELAY DEVICE FROM THE SETTER. THE TIME DELAY SETTER INCLUDES MEANS FOR AUTOMATICALLY DETERMINING THE PARAMETERS OF THE ELECTRICAL ELEMENTS OF THE TIME DELAY DEVICE AND MEANS FOR COMPENSATING FOR THE VARIATIONS IN THE ELECTRONIC TIME DELAY DEVICE FROM PREDETERMINED REFERENCE CHARACTERISTICS.
