Abstract A MACHINE FOR SHAPING A TIRE CASING FIRST IN A ROUGH FORM AND THEN IN A FINISHED FORM. THE SHAPING SURFACE IS DEFINED BY PLURAL GROUPS OF THREE ELEMENTS PIVOTALLY CONNECTED TOGETHER AND PIVOTALLY MOUNTED FOR MOVEMENT BETWEEN EXPANDED AND RETRACTED POSITIONS. IN THE EXPANDED POSITIONS, THE GROUPS OF ELEMENTS DEFINE AN ANNULAR SURFACE FOR SUPPORTING A RESILIENTLY FLEXIBLE COVER WHICH ENGAGES AND FORMS THE INNER SURFACE OF THE CASING.
