Abstract
Abstract RHENIUM VALUES ARE EXTRACTED FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS IN CONVENTIONAL MANNER WITH ION EXCHANGE MATERIALS. THE RHENIUM VALUES ARE THEN RECOVERED FROM THE ION EXCHANGE MATERIAL BY CONTACTING THE RHENIUM-BEARING MATERIAL WITH AN AQUEOUS THIOCYANATE SOLUTION, SUCH AS 1 MOLAR SOLUTION OF AMMONIUM THIOCYANATE. PURE CRYSTALS OF AMMONIUM PERRHENATE ARE OBTAINED DIRECTLY FROM THE THIOCYANATE SOLUTION BY CRYSTALLIZATION.
