Abstract FILAMENTARY YARN COMPOSED OF THERMOPLASTIC SYNTHETIC, ORGANIC POLYMERS IS UNIFORMLY DRAWN AT HIGH SPEED BY DIRECTING A STREAM OF HEATED LIQUID INTO THE PATH OF THE YARN TO HEAT THE LATTER TO DRAWING TEMPERATURE AT LESS THAN DRAWING TENSION AND IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER DRAWING THE YARN BY PASSING IT OVER ONE OR MORE SNUBBING PINS ARRANGED CLOSE TO BUT OUT OF CONTACT WITH THE LIQUID STREAM.
