Abstract THIS DISCLOSURE IS DIRECTED TO THE GAS-PHASE, RADIATIONINDUCED, COPOLYMERIZATION OF TETRAFLUOROETHYLENE WITH ETHYLENE. FOR EXAMPLE, TETRAFLUOROETHYLENE AND ETHYLENE ARE COPOLYMERIZED AT ROOM TEMPERATURE UNDER ANHYDROUS CONDITIONS. THE RESULTING COPOLYMER HAS EXCELLENT PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS, AND IS PARTICULARLY SUITABLE AS A DIELECTRIC MATERIAL.
