Abstract DEVELOPED BULK IS IMPARTED TO A YARN COMPOSED OF SIMILAR CONDINUOUS FILAMENTS. ADJACENT BULKED FILAMENTS ARE THEN BONDED AT POINTS WHERE THEY CONTACT ONE ANOTHER. THE BULKED BONDED YARN IS PARTICULARLY SUITABLE FOR USE AS TYING TWINE AND SIMILAR APPLICATIONS DUE TO ITS IMPROVED KNOT HOLDING ABILITY, BUNDLE COHESION, AND HIGH STRENGTH.
