Abstract A SHEET PILE, PREFERABLY OF TWO-INCH THICK LUMBER, MADE BY GLUING FACES OF TE PLANKS AND CLAMPING THEM IN TIGHT, UNWARPED FACE-TO-FACE RELATION UNTIL THE GLU SETS. THE EDGES OF THE PLANKS, AT TIMES UNEVERN, ARE NOT GLUED TO OTHER PLANK EDGES, AND THE WIDE PORTIONS OF THE PLANKS EVEN IF PREVIOUSLY WARPED, ARE FORCED BY THE CLAMPING AND GLUING TO REMAIN IN FLATWISE, STRONGLY BONDED ARRANGEMENT. THE INVENTION ALSO INCLUDES: WAYS OF REINFORCING THE MIDDLE, TONGUE, AND GROOVE PILE PORTIONS, MEANS FOR INTERLOCKING PILES TOGETHER WHEN THEY ARE IN USE, AND A METHOD OF MAKING THE PILES IN A CLAMPING FIXTURE.
