Abstract
Abstract An ignition circuit for a gas discharge tube operated from an alternating current source which provides a high voltage and frequency starting signal to the tube as the source is reaching the peak output voltage. The control terminal of a voltage controlled switch is connected to the charging circuit for a high frequency oscillator energized by the alternating current source to switch on the oscillator in response to a source voltage near the peak output of the source.
