Abstract THIS DISCLOSURE RELATES TO SILOXANE CONTAINING POLYAMIDE ACID BLENDS CONVERTIBLE TO CORONA RESISTANT POLYMIMIDE COMPOSITIONS. THE SILOXANE CONTAINING POLYAMIDE ACID BLENDS COMPRISE (A) A POLYAMIDE ACID SILOXANE AND (B) A SILICON FREE POLYAMIDE ACID, WHERE (A) IS UTILIZED IN THE BLEND IN AN AMOUNT SUFFICIENT TO PROVIDE AT LEAST ONE PERCENT BY WEIGHT OF CHEMICALLY COMBINED SILICON BASED ON THE WEIGHT OF THE BLEND. THESE BLENDS PROVIDE WIRE INSULATING COMPOSITIONS WHICH CAN BE EMPLOYED IN APPLICATIONS WHERE RESISTANCE TO CORONA IS HIGHLY DESIRABLE.
