Abstract
Abstract A portable scaffold having horizontal support detachably connected to side of building. Lateral support is carried by horizontal support and projects therefrom to support load carrying members. Outer end of lateral support is detachably connected to one end of upstanding support with other end of upstanding support connected to stationary member.

In a portable scaffold adapted for attachment to a building: a. an elongated, horizontal support member; b. means detachable connecting said horizontal support member to the side of a building; c. a lateral support member secured rigidly at one end to said horizontal support member and projecting outwardly therefrom in position to support horizontal load carrying members; d. a platelike member disposed to engage the top surface of a building; e. an outwardly projecting connector carried by the outer end of said platelike member; and f. an upstanding member detachably connected at its upper end to said outwardly projecting connector and detachably connected adjacent its lower end to the outer end of said lateral support member.

A pr portable scaffold as defined in claim 1 in which said upstanding member is an elongated member having openings adjacent each end thereof and the outer end of said lateral support member carries an outwardly projecting connector member of a size to engage the lowermost opening in said upstanding member with said outwardly projecting connector carried by said platelike member engaging the uppermost opening in said upstanding member.
