Abstract A FRAME FOR MOUNTING AND DISPLAYING PICTURES AND THE LIKE COMPRISING A UNITARY FRAME COVER HAVING A REINFORCING MEMBER THEREIN FILLED WITH A FOAM PLASTIC AND PROVIDED WITH TWO PAIRS OF OPPOSED RETAINING FLAPS SECURED TO THE REAR FACE OF THE FRAME COVER WITH ONE PAIR OF FLAPS OVERLAPPING AND BEING INTERCONNECTED BY ADJUSTABLE LOCKING CLIPS SO THAT PICTURES OF VARYING THICKNESS CAN BE MOUNTED WITHIN THE FRAME. IN ADDITION, A DETACHABLE REAR COVER OF STRETCHABLE MATERIAL IS PROVIDED FOR THE BACK OF THE FRAME TO COVER THE RETAINING FLAPS.
