THE METHOD OF MAKING ANIMATED CARTOONS WHICH COMPRISES RECORDING A SERIES OF INDIVIDUAL PICTURES WHICH CONSTITUTE AN ANIMATED SEQUENCE DIRECTLY ONTO TWO SEPARATE BANDS OF FILM, SUCCESSIVE PICTURES OF THE SEQUENCE BEING RECORDED ALTERNATELY FIRST ON ONE BAND THEN ON THE OTHER BAND, AND PROJECTING AN IMAGE OF EACH SUCCESSIVE PICTURE RECORDED ON EACH BAND ONTO AN AREA OF THE OTHER BAND ON WICH THE NEXT PICTURE OF THE SEQUENCE IS TO BE RECORDED.
