AN INKED RIBBON SPOOL COMPRISING A ONE PIECE SPOOL MOLDED OF NON-RIGID PLASTIC, SAID SPOOL HAVING A CYLINDRICAL DRUM FOR RECEIVING THE CONVOLUTION OF RIBBON TO BE WOUND THEREON, SAID DRUM HAVING A SUBSTANTIALLY RECTANGULAR RECESS THEREIN EXTENDING RADIALLY THEREINTO FROM THE PERIPHERAL SURFACE THEREOF, AND A SEGMENT COMPLEMENTAL TO THE PERIPHERAL PORTION OF SAID RECESS MOLDED INTEGRAL WITH THE SPOOL AND HAVING A THIN FLEXIBLE MEMBRANE HINGE CONNECTING ONE EDGE THEREOF INTEGRALLY TO A SIDE WALL OF SAID RECESS.
