The working end is formed by two elastic, elongate, blade-shaped side branches 4, 5 which are inclined in relation to one another and are connected to one another on one long side edge. The tooth cleaner 1 has a protruding cleaning member 7 which is arranged along at least part of the interconnected long side edges 6 of the side branches 4, 5. The side branches 4, 5 have projecting bristles 8, 9 along at least part of their other long side edges facing away from each other. These bristles 8, 9 project at an obtuse angle from the plane of each side branch 4, 5. <IMAGE>
