Device for dispensing an object representing a value
Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to a device for dispensing a second value-bearing object in response to an identifiable medium to be handled by a user being read out or in response to the insertion of a first value-bearing object, the value of the second value-bearing object being larger than that of the first value-bearing object, but the second value-bearing object having limited validity. For the purposes of the invention, limited validity means that the value-bearing objects can be exchanged only in a limited area, i.e. subject to geographic restrictions, that they are valid only for a limited time, i.e. a temporal restriction, or that they are valid only as payment in full or in part when a particular article is purchased, i.e. that the validity is restricted to the purchase of specific articles. Preferably, the quality of the second value-bearing object is determined by chance, at least partially.
