Recording medium with authenticity feature
Abstract
Abstract Recording medium for the recording of optically readable information, which medium is provided with a layered configuration with at least one information-carrying layer, in which information can be recorded by means of a structure of layer parts arranged in tracks and having different optical characteristics. The recording medium is intended to be read into a device which is provided with a light beam transmitter with which the tracks can be scanned and a light beam receiver in which the light beam, modulated by the different layer parts in accordance with the information recorded therein, can be detected. In a first defined part of the aforementioned information-carrying layer, an authenticity feature is incorporated in the form of a collection of randomly distributed layer parts with different optical characteristics, of which the dimensioning is such that this feature can be read with the aid of the aforementioned device. In a second defined part of the information-carrying layer, marking elements are recorded in the form of a collection of layer parts arranged in tracks with different optical characteristics, of which the dimensioning is such that these marking elements can be scanned with the aid of the aforementioned device. The position of the marking elements and/or the information content thereof determines the position of a selected part of the aforementioned authenticity feature and the information content of the marking elements determines the information content of that selected part of the authenticity feature.
