Multiple safe deposit box installation - has control panel with keyboard enabling user to enter personal code and box number

Abstract

Abstract The installation is fitted into the wall of a bank, railway station, etc., at a height which is out of reach for children. The safeboxes are arranged in a frame on each side of the processing and control panel. The control unit contains a microprocessor, the input to which is fed from a numerical keyboard. The microprocessor output is used to control a visual display panel. The panel is enabled by a key-operated lock. The user keys in a personal security code, followed by the number corresponding to the number printed on the front flap of his allocated safebox. The wiring between the control panel and the solenoid-operated locks is laid in a cable gutter under the frame.
