Rack mounting system for PCB(s) - provides flexible guide rails allowing speedy insertion and removal
Abstract
Abstract The main difference between this system and previous similar types is that the rear ends of the p.c.b. guides are secured onto the top and bottom of the baseplate on which the fixed connector is mounted. The base plate is mounted, with screws, onto the vertical faces of the rear carrying rails. The front ends of the guides may be flexed sideways by a small amount to ensure correct mating between the indirect edge connector and the fixed connector. These front ends have grooves which fit onto locking rails, which are secured to the flat front carrying rails. The p.c.b. front panel is secured by screws which pass through holes into threaded holes in the rails.
