Picture processor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To suppress the occurrence of moire to perform the gradation processing without degrading the resolution by dividing a gradation picture signal to even picture elements and odd picture elements and correcting error of both of them. CONSTITUTION: A multigradation picture signal is divided to the signal of even picture elements and the signal of odd picture elements by a picture element distributing part 1. The signal of even picture elements passes an adder 2 and is added to the signal of odd picture elements by an adder 3. Gradation processing parts 4 and 6 convert respective input gradation picture signals to n-number of gradations adapted to picture reproducing of a picture reproducing device. Though conversion error occurs in n-gradation picture signals with respect to input gradation picture signal at this time, this error is fed back to adders 5 and 2 and is corrected. The signal of even picture elements and the signal of odd picture elements of gradation picture signals subjected to gradation processing in this manner are synthesized by a picture element coupling part 7 and are outputted.
