Dielectric resonator

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To suppress the insertion loss to a small value by forming a slot to a part to be formed with a center conductor and locating at least a part of a center conductor pattern to the slot along its inner wall face also in the depth direction thereby increasing the effective center conductor width. CONSTITUTION:The center conductor pattern 28 being essential to satisfy the principle of a 1/4 wavelength parallel resonator is not simply patterned on a flat surface of a dielectric block member 22 but patterned to include a slot 27 made in the depth direction from the surface of the dielectric block member 22. Thus, in case of the channel slot 27, at least the part is placed onto the side wall not only to the bottom wall of the slot 27 but also to be extended in the depth direction. Thus, the entire shape of the dielectric resonator 20 is not made large but the effective surface area of the center conductor pattern 28 is increased and the insertion loss is reduced.
