Timing adjusting method

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To automatically adjust each skew circuit by inputting a timing signal from a controller by a reference driver and outputting a pulse signal. CONSTITUTION:The reference driver, 1 a reference comparator which varies a level voltage under the control of the controller 5 and latches and outputs the large-small comparison result between the varied level voltage and input signal to the controller 5, relays 51, 52... which connect comparators 11 and 12 to the driver 1, and relays 61, 62... which connect drivers 31 and 32 to the comparator 2 are provided. Then the output impedance of a connected transmission circuit and time differences between the generation time points of transition points of two-stage staircase waves generated at the input terminals of the comparators 11 and 12 and the output terminals of the drivers 31 and 32 and a reference time phi are measured by the controller 5 and comparators 11 and 12, so that the controller 5 controls the delay quantities of respective skew circuits according to the time differences.
