Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve the processing speed of an inference by deciding an optimum inference system where inference speed is considered, based on an inference object knowledge constitution information acquiring means and constitution information obtained from it. CONSTITUTION:At the time of compiling a rule knowledge by a rule complier 1, first, an inference object knowledge constitution information acquiring means 2 is activated, the constitution information is acquired from an inference object knowledge storing part 6, and it is added to an inference system deciding means 3. The means 3 decides the optimum inference system where the inference speed is considered, based on the constitution information. For example, that the quantity of the knowledge of an inference object exceeds a certain quantity is decided, the speed is increased by using a RETE algorithm, a rule object output means 4 is activated, the knowledge stored in a role knowledge storing part 5 is compiled, a rule object is prepared, and it is stored into a storing part 7. Simultaneously, based on it, an inference mechanism 8 is activated, and the inference is executed. In such a way, the burden of an inference system selection to a user is lightened.
