Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To select and switch a window visually required by an operator and to improve operability by inputting a window switching instruction for simply specifying one vertical or horizontal direction at the time of switching an active window. CONSTITUTION: When a window direction specification switching instruction for a right arrow key is inputted, the information of the nearest window position is extracted based upon digit position information. Since a window WIN3 is stored in a leading address and activated, the position of the window is (180, 25). Since the input key is the right arrow key, a window of which digit position is >25 is searched. When an execution key is inputted, a window WIN4 is activated on a real screen and the information of the window WIN 4 is rearranged 011 the head of a window position table. Since the leading window always becomes an active window by the rearrangement of the contents of the table and a window visually required by an operator can be selected and switched, thus operability can be improved.
