Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To position and drive lens automatically and at high speed by switching and using suitably a stepping motor and a DC motor to a motor to drive a lens converging a laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A driving shaft 12 to drive a lens 11, when the distance up to an object position is close, is driven at low speed and with high accuracy only by a stepping motor 13 controlled by a stepping motor driving device 26. When the distance is remote, the shaft is, first, driven at high speed by a DC motor 25 controlled by a DC motor driving device 27, when the object position is close, by switching automatically to the motor 13 and driving with a linear coder 14 and a controller 28, the positioning of the lens can be executed at the high speed and with the high accuracy.
