Driver for electrothermal transfer recording
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate nonuniformity in printed density due to variations in the number of electrodes simultaneously driven in a printing head, by providing a means for counting the number of the electrodes simultaneously driven in the printing head, and so controlling as to energize the electrodes for a period of time according to the result of counting by the counting means. CONSTITUTION:Gate circuits G1, G2,...Gs are supplied with energization time data from a D-F/F 11 and data from a recording-controlling part 10. Data 16 on electrodes to be simultaneously driven, which data is the same as the data inputted to a terminal D of a counter 14, is inputted to a terminal N of the recording-controlling part 10. Therefore, data on discrimination between printing and non-printing is inputted from the recording-controlling circuit 10 to the gate circuits G1, G2,...Gs. Energization time data is inputted to driving circuits 8 through only the gates relevant to printing of the gate circuits G1, G2,...Gs. According to the energization time data, recording currents in amounts just required for printing are passed to the recording electrodes relevant to printing.
