Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain ceramic-based electrically conductive material by forming ceramic-based electrical by conductive powder without using sheathing material by a method wherein the ceramic-based electrically conductive material, to which binder and solvent are added, is extruded and, then calcined and fired. CONSTITUTION:The method concerned for forming ceramic-based electrically conductive material is a method to extrude, calcine and fire ceramic-based electrically conductive powder, to which binder and solvent are added. Since the smaller the mean particle diameter of the ceramic-based electrically conductive powder becomes, the better the densification of the powder by sintering is, the favorable mean particle diameter of the powder is 5 mum or less. As the binder to be added to the ceramic-based electrically conductive powder, organic binder, which disappears through calcination (at a temperature lower than 500 deg.C), or cellulose-based binding such as methyl cellulose is used. Further, as the solvent, water, alcohol-based solvent such as isopropanol and ether-based solvent such as ethylene glycol monoethyl ether are used.
