Inverter control system for driving and controlling two-phase induction motor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To drive a two-phase induction motor by one unit of general three- phase inverter, by connecting one of alpha phase and beta phase winding terminals of said two-phase induction motor in common with each other and then by connecting said one of winding terminals with said three-phase inverter. CONSTITUTION:One of terminations of windings alpha, beta is connected with a three- phase inverter 10 and the other winding termination is connected in common with each other and further connected as gamma phase with said inverter 10. The three-phase inverter 10 conducts such control as causing the composite value of alpha phase and beta phase current instantaneous values to flow through the gammaphase of said common line. Thus, one unit of general three-phase inverter in place of a special two-phase inverter composed of two units of single-phase inverter heretofore in use can drive a two-phase induction motor.
