All-surface illuminated button switch

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To increase the reliability of switch operation and enhance operating easiness by providing a switch cap, whose head at the covering part is light diffusive and light shutting other than head part, and a switch body which is arranged with its light irradiated surface facing the head and fixed together with a support. CONSTITUTION:A switch body 8 has a built-in LED light source 5, and cover parts 7c, 7d are supported resiliently by a support 7a through a resilient part 7b. A hole 7a1 for air bleeding is open at the bottom of this support 7a. The construction is two color molding, light shutting (white) at the side 7c and light diffusive (transparent) at the head 7d. The switch body 8 has an upper light irradiated surface of button 8a which is faced to the light diffusive head 7b. The cover moves up and down with large strokes, and whether the switch is pushed certainly can be made sure easily by sense on the finger. The light by LED 5 in the direciton toward the side of the switch is cut, while the light toward the head of the switch is illuminative uniformly only at the indication surface of the switch head.
