Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To input the name of an opponent destination station composed of a desired language symbol string, by counting a time depressing a key with a timer, recognizing a language symbol to be inputted with the depressing time of the inputting key and continuously inputting the language symbol. CONSTITUTION:The plural numbers of the language symbols of alphabet characters, etc., are respectively attached to one input key 7, the necessary character is selected out of them and a character language to compose the name of the opponent destination station is inputted and stored. Then, the time to depress the input key 7 is counted by a timer 11 and the language symbol to be inputted out of the plural language symbols is recognized by the depressing time. Thus, one language symbol can be inputted by the once depressing operation of the input key 7 and the input can be executed in a short time. Then, since the complicated key operation is eliminated, an input error can be prevented. Moreover, since the name of the opponent destination station, which is stored to a memory 15, is inputted by the input key 7, the retrieval and display of a correspondent telephone number and the automatic origination of the retrieved telephone number can be executed.
