Partial discharge diagnosing device for transformer
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To check the operation state of the partial discharge diagnosing device of the transformer at all times by deciding automatically the soundness of an ultrasonic vibration detector according to the time delay of the output signal of the ultrasonic vibration detector behind a current flowing to a neutral point ground line. CONSTITUTION:A sound signal 22 due to partial discharge detected by the ultrasonic vibration detector 6 is detected time delay DELTAt required for the propagation from a generation point to the detector 6 behind a current signal 21 due to partial discharge detected by a current transformer 5. Therefore, when the time delay DELTAt is smaller than a specific time T0, it is judged that detection signals 21 and 22 are caused by the discharge in the transformer 1. Further, the time T0 is determined by the sound speed in insulation and the maximum size of the transformer 1. Consequently, the operation state of the partial discharge diagnostic device 10 of the transformer 1 is checked at all times.
