Structure for mounting cleaning unit

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable the easy taking-out of a photosensitive body without bringing said body into contact with a cleaning unit by constructing the cleaning unit in such a manner that said unit is energized in the direction parting from the photosensitive drum while the unit is kept hung to the bottom end of an oscillating member. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning unit 10 is automatically parted from the surface of the photosensitive drum 5 by the energizing force acting on the oscillating member 21 while the unit is kept detained to a hook part 28 formed to the end of the member 21 when a fixing means such as bolt is released. The cleaning unit stops in the position where the energizing force and its own weight of the unit 10 balance each other. This stop position is set by adjusting the energizing force to the position sufficiently apart from the drum 5 surface. The freely attachably and detachably detained cleaning unit 10 is thereby easily removed from the oscillating member 21 and the damaging of the drum 5 is prevented.
