Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To stabilize tilting of a ladle by providing a molten metal storage tank having a sectorial sectional shape centering at the axial line supporting the rotation of the ladle and aligning the curving center of the bottom part for guiding the molten metal to the tilting center of the ladle and the axial line supporting the rotation. CONSTITUTION:The ladle 12 is made into the construction having the approximately sectorial sectional shape. The molten metal storage tank 38 which has the axial center O supporting the rotation and a prescribed size is formed. Further, the bottom wall having a tap hole 40, i.e., the bottom part 46 for guiding the molten metal is formed to the curved shape and the center thereof is aligned to the axial center O. The ladle 12 is driven by a driving means 70 and is supported by a support 68. The molten metal in the ladle 12 flows through a flow passage 44 and a tap hole 40 or 5 into the molten metal receiving port of a casting mold M. The molten metal is thus poured in the constant state regardless of the tilting of the ladle 12 and with good cut of the molten metal. Since the molten metal is thereby poured around the common center of rotation, the tilting operation of the ladle 12 is stabilized.
