Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient position relation among transfer paper, a fixing roller, and a pressure roller by arranging the pressure roller so that the tangent to the fixing roller at the abutting position where the front end of the transfer paper after transfer and separation abuts on the fixing roller is closer to the fixing roller than the center of a 1st roller. CONSTITUTION:The tangent l to the fixing roller at the abutting position P where the transfer paper P from its conveyance path abuts on the fixing roller 1 is closer to the fixing roller 1 than the center O of the 1st pressure roller 2. As the tangent l comes closer to the fixing roller 1 from the center of the pressure roller 2, the contacting range of the part which is not restrained by the pressure roller 2 to the fixing roller 1 becomes smaller, but conveyance performance becomes advantageous to curled paper, etc. Consequently, the contactness of the transfer paper to the fixing roller is improved because of the elasticity of the transfer paper without spoiling the conveyance performance, and fixation efficiency is improved.
