Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To bring a developing device and a photosensitive body into speedy contact and noncontact with each other by providing a thin film contacting means which brings the surplus part of a cylindrical thin film member fitted while covering a developing roller while slight surplus peripheral length is left into contact with the photosensitive body, and a magnet which attracts the thin film contacting means. CONSTITUTION:This device has the cylindrical thin film member 2 which has slight surplus peripheral length for the peripheral length of a developing roller 3 and a nickel electrodeposited film and is fitted while covering the developing roller 3, the thin film contacting means (control blade 5 and eraser 6) which brings this thin film member 2 into contact with the almost opposite side from the photosensitive body facing surface of the developing roller 3 and bring the surplus part of the thin film member 2 into contact with the photosensitive body 100, and the magnet which attracts the thin film member 2 on the photosensitive body facing surface of the developing roller 3 and is provided in the developing roller 3. Then, the thin film member 2 on the photosensitive body facing surface is attracted to the surface of the developing roller 3 to form a gap between the photosensitive body 100 and developing device. Consequently, the developing device and photosensitive body are brought into easy and speedy contact and noncontact with each other without moving the whole developing device.
