Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To stably obtain an image of high quality which has neither an image density irregularity nor black stripes and sufficient image density by providing a fluororesin layer of <=10mum in layer thickness over the surface of a developer conveying member. CONSTITUTION:The coating layer which contains at least fluororesin is formed over the surface of a developing roller 2 and the coat layer is <=10mum, preferably, <=5mum thick. There are ethylene tetrafluoride resin, ethylene tetrafluoride- ethylene copolymer resin, etc., as the fluororesin in use. Consequently, while the separating performance of the surface is maintained, the developer conveying member which is stored with no charge is obtained to prevent effectively toner from caking on the surface of the developer conveying member and eliminate a decrease in image density, thereby obtaining an image of high quality which has neither 'ground fogging' nor 'scatter' around a character stably for a long time.
