Method and device for bonding belt-type member
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To permit the uniform jointing of the rear and fore ends of a belt-type member, by a method wherein the rear end of the belt-type member is supplied to a forming drum while holding it from the upper and lower sides thereof, and the fore and rear ends of the same member, which are projected from a bonding surface, are supported from the insides, thereafter, both ends are pushed from the outsides thereof to bond them along the whole width of them. CONSTITUTION:A belt-type member 9 is supplied accurately to a forming drum 1 while holding it from the upper and lower sides thereof by holding bodies 88, 89 and when the holding bodies 88, 89 have arrived at a position immediatery above the top of the forming drum 1, the operation of a motor 53 is stopped, and the tip end of the overhung belt-type member 9 is pushed by a pushing pad 119 against the forming drum 1 to push it under a pressure. Subsequently, the forming drum 1 is rotated to bond the belt-type member around the forming drum 1. Then, the belt-type member, bound at positions immediately before and after a cutting position, is cut by a cutting edge 28 so that the length of the member becomes equal to one circumferential length of the forming drum 1. Next, when the piston rod 148 of a cylinder 147 is projected, a bonding pad 149 is moved toward the forming drum 1 and the central part and the other ends of the member 9, supported by a supporting pawl 131 from the inside thereof, in the widthwise direction of the jointing area are pushed from the outside thereof whereby the belt-type member 9 may be jointed uniformly along the whole width thereof.
