Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To enhance the performance with given frame dimensions by employing a high energy stator magnet and inserting a low magnetic resistance member between the magnet and the casing. CONSTITUTION: A shaft 12 supports an armature 13 comprising a laminated core 15 applied with a winding 14, and a commutator 16. The space between the inner wall of a casing 10 and the laminated core 15 of the armature 13 is dimensioned to receive two arcuate high energy magnets 22, 23. A soft steel holder ring 24 is inserted between the arcuate high energy magnets 22, 23 and the inner wall of the casing 10. The ring 24 is force fitted to the casing 10 thus providing an additional magnetic path of low magnetic resistance between two magnets 22, 23.
