Structure of rotor for motor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a rotor and shorten the total length of the same, by a method wherein an end plate is fitted and secured to a shaft at the inside of the end face of the rotor in one end face in the axial direction of the cores and magnets of the rotor while a spacer is mounted on the shaft at the other end face of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:Both end faces in the axial direction of a rotor 10, in which cores 12 and magnets 14 are arranged alternately in the circumferential direction thereof, are pinched by end plates 16, 18. The boss 16a of the end plate 16 is fitted and secured rigidly to a shaft 20 by force fitting. The end plate 18 is fitted and fixed to the shaft through a spacer 26 interposed between the cores 12 as well as the magnets 14 and the shaft 20. According to this method, a torque, generated in the rotor 10, is transmitted to the shaft through only the end plate 16 having the boss 16a, therefore, the structure of the rotor may be simplified. On the other hand, power is transmitted through the boss 16a positioned at the inside of the end face 11 of the rotor 10, therefore, the total length l of a motor may be shortened.
