Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To calibrate an acceleration sensor by fixing a magnetic body to the free end of a cantilever which detects acceleration, arranging a magnet which produces prescribed magnetic force nearby the cantilever, and applying prescribed external force to the cantilever by the magnet. CONSTITUTION:A housing 1 is fixed in invariably constant relative position relation with an electromagnet 21. At this time, a variable resistance R5 is adjusted to adjust the output signal of a differential amplifier OP1. Then, a DC power source 22 is connected to the electromagnet 21 and a prescribed current is supplied to the electromagnet 21. Consequently, a thin plate 7 of a magnetic body adhered onto one surface of a weight 6 is attracted by the electromagnet 21 and the cantilever 3 flexes as well as when some acceleration is applied to the housing 1. At this time, the variable resistor R6 is adjusted to adjust the output signal of the differential amplifier OP1 when specific acceleration is applied to the acceleration sensor 2 (when the prescribed external force is applied to the cantilever 3).
