Electrode for measuring water quality
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To facilitate the mounting and detachment of the title electrode, by a method wherein an electrode detecting the electric conductivity and corrosion rate of the piping caused by a liquid flowing through the piping composed of iron, copper or stainless steel is constituted of the bushing screwed into a pipe wall and the electrode part protruding from the leading end thereof and a measuring device is connected to the multicore cord pierced through the bushing. CONSTITUTION:A tapered screw hole is bored in the pipe wall A of piping composed of iron, copper or stainless steel through which a liquid passes and a hollow arranging member 1 is clamped to said hole by a screwing nut. Further, an electrode mount part 2 consisting of a plug 8 and a washer 7 is provided on the protruded part in the piping and electrodes 5, 6 mounted thereto through a packing 10 using screw shafts 3, 4. At this time, the same material as the piping is used in the electrode 5 for measuring a corrosion rate and the electrode 6 for measuring temp. is formed using a usual metal and covered with a cover 11 made of an electric insulating material. Thereafter, the multicore cable 19 pierced through the bushing being the arranged member 1 is connected to a measuring device 14 having switches 17-I-17-IV for water temp., electric conductivity, iron corrosion, stainless steel corrosion and the turning-OFF of a power source.
