Signal transmission system

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To attain communication by means of a form desied by a first electronic equipment, by transmitting a bit of information by a transmission form desired by the first electronic equipment from the first electronic equipment to a second electronic equipment, according to the transmission form used in common between them, and switching the transmission form by the second electronic equipment corresponding to a bit of transmitted information. CONSTITUTION:The first and the second electronic equipments 11 and 12 are, for example, IC cards, and the first electronic equipment 11 is permitted to perform transmission by means of a first and a second transmission forms, and the second electronic equipment 12, by means of the first and the second transmission forms, and the one other than those. In the first transmission, the bit of information is transmitted from the first electronic equipment 11 to the second electronic equipment 12 by the first transmission form. The second electronic equipment 12, when receiving the above bit of information, switches the transmission form from the first transmission form to the second one, according to the bit of information. Thereby, the transmission form of the first electronic equipment 11 is switched to that of the second transmission form. After completing the above operation, typical communication between the first and the second electronic equipments 11 and 12 is performed by the second transmission form.
